BAND, CHOIR, AND ART TAKE TOP HONORS
All Excellent and Superior Ratings at Music Festival
Every Stoutland musician that performed at the District Music Festival, Saturday, March 21st at Lebanon High School this year received a Superior or Excellent rating on their solo or small ensemble and has medaled at this event. We have five entries that are eligible to go to the State Music Festival on Friday, May 1st in Columbia. Students who received a Superior rating and are eligible for State are junior Breanna Brown, vocal solo; senior Karissa Oliver, flute solo; senior Kaslyn Yakle, flute solo; vocal trio featuring juniors Breanna Brown, Tristan Carroll, and sophomore Maddie Brown; and flute trio featuring juniors Elli Gilbert, Kataryna Shultz, and 8th grader Dani Brown. Students who received an Excellent rating are junior Tristan Carroll, vocal solo; senior Kenndrea Foltz, vocal solo; junior Elli Gilbert, flute solo; freshman Frances Shickles, clarinet solo; sophomore Kristin Shockley, clarinet solo; junior Tristan Carroll, alto saxophone solo, and flute quartet featuring seniors Karissa Oliver and Kaslyn Yakle and juniors Elli Gilbert and Kataryna Shultz.
